Biography

DENNIS HUMPHRIES
Dennis Humphries sings lead and is the Owner/Manager of HisSong.
Dennis began singing at a very early age in his home Church in Alabama.
He would stand on a chair on Wednesday nights and sing at the age of 2.
Dennis credits his parents, Marvin and Helen Humphries, for instilling
the love of Music in his heart. They knew at a very young age that
God had a special calling on his life.
He started his own group at the age of 15 with his cousin. He received
a call to full time Ministry with a well known group, Chosen. While Singing
in Florida, he met a girl that later became his wife. He left the group
3 yrs later to be at home with his Wife. He became the full time Music
Minister at a Church in Huntsville, Alabama. Tragedy soon struck when
his wife was robbed and shot.
Dennis has written a book which is to be released soon about his life
and the depression that almost took his own life. This is only a little
bit of what he went through. You can hear Dennis' testimony at many
churches and you will know that only God could bring him through.
Dennis says, "We love singing and ministering. We have seen hundreds
of souls saved and many lives changed. We love our fans that we meet
all over the country. The Radio DJ's are a very important part of
our ministry allowing our music to be heard in places we have never been.
We look forward to coming to your area."

ADAM ELROD
Hey this is Adam and I am glad you have stopped by to see me. I hope
something I say or do will help you in your walk with Christ.
As before I mentioned my name is Adam Elrod, I was born in a little
town called Trenton, GA, and I must say I am loving every minute of my life.
God has really stepped in and took control, Life could not be more sweeter.
I have been blessed with God-given parents Billy and Sherry Elrod.
They have stood by my side and have always encouraged me to do not only
the right thing but the Godly thing. I could not ask for better people
in my life than them. I have a younger brother Aaron, he is my best friend
in the whole world. He has always been there when I needed someone to
talk too...and I thank God for him daily.
Singing is something you just cant fall into, you must be called by
God to live this life. It is such a joy to watch a sin-sick soul come
to know Christ. In just a moment their life is changed from darkness
to light, to sinner to saint, from rags to riches with only just one
drop of His blood from Calvary.
But the only way that we will begin to see this happen is if we only
stay in His will and give Him praise. In the Bible the highest form of
praise is Obedience. If we draw neigh to Him, He will draw neigh to us...that
is my prayer, to see a soul won to God in our concerts. If I never sing
another note in my life I don't care, as long as I know that I had apart
of someone giving their life to Christ would mean the world to me.
May God Bless you all is my Prayer.

ADAM CANNON
Adam Cannon sings the Baritone. Adam joined HisSong in April 2006 at the
age of 19. Adam got a real love for southern gospel music several yrs ago
after attending a Gaither concert. He knew that one day he wanted to
sing Gospel Music full time and that dream has now come true and he is
loving every minute of it.
Dennis of HisSong says, we tried out several people and received many
demos in the mail and there were some great singers. We were in Paducah,
Kentucky at a large Baptist Church and the place was totally filled
including the balcony. I had talked with Adam on the phone and arranged
for him to try out before the concert. Our record producer Wayne Haun
was traveling with us filling in the Baritone part until I found a
replacement. During our sound check we gathered around the piano and
had Wayne to play and we would just pick radomly songs. It worked out
to where Adam sang a song during the service and I knew right then
that he was the Man for the job. He has a great spirit about him and
loves the Lord and that makes a BIG difference. I am proud to have Adam
a part of HisSong.
It is such an honor to serve God! I've been blessed to see thousands
of lives changed and touched, including my own, since joining HisSong.
Being a part of this group has allowed God to move in my life in
powerful new ways: as a vocalist, a minister, and a person. It's amazing
to look at a congregation and find more people surrounding the alters than
there are sitting in the pews.
First and foremost we are a ministry, but that wouldn't last without
brotherhood and comradere on the road. An eight or twelve hour trip or
longer on the bus isn't too uncommon so we get a lot of time to hang out.
We love what God has called us to do so it really isn't difficult to
enjoy ourselves! Our downtime is usually filled with loud music (Elrod
has more cd's than I can count), bowling (Dennis is way too good at it),
or football (I always bring a football on the road).
I know that I wouldn't be able to follow Gods call in my life if Christ
weren't in my heart. When life is painful or troubling I can always
stand on His Word! Stay in The Word and seek His face and He will never
let you down!"

"Sing praises to God, our strength. Sing to the God of Israel."
Psalm 81:1
